West Kalimantan has an area of 146 607 km2 and a wide variety of mineral and gemstone deposits, some of which are still waiting for exploration. The Pasir Panjang beach resort
The Pasir Panjang beach resort is at 17 km from Singkawang (Sambas regency) and is a beautiful water attraction in West Kalimantan. It is deal for bathing, but tennis is also available. The Selimpah Coast

The Menanggar Falls
The Menanggar Falls is a gorgeous water attraction in West Kalimantan and occupies a huge area and has seven levels. Around the waterfalls you will se pristine rain forest and Barema caves (Dayak shrines). The speed streams and quite basins lure the young and older people as well to take a bath in the breathtaking waterfall. The sound of the birds staying on the trees is reflected as if it would be a praise for this natural wonder. The waterfall is located between Landak and Bengkayang, you can get there with a four-wheel-drive jeep.
The lagoon of the Danau Sentarum National Park
The huge lagoon of the Danau Sentarum National Park in West Kalimantan is well worth a visit. The park has an area of 132 000 hectares and is located in the Kapuas Hulu Prefecture, in the Semitau district, at one and a half hours away from the city of Semitau with speedboat.
The floating houses can be visited with traditional long boats. In the surrounding five freshwater lakes live about 220 different species of fish, therefor the salted and the fried fish is available everywhere. The most famous of them is the gold arowana (Scleropages formosus), known locally as the Ikan Shiloh. The color versions of the fish farmed by the local Malay and Dayak people are really appreciated by the collectors.
