Nature Tourism in Indonesia

If you are a person who is into nature and you are planning to see the nature tourism of Indonesia, you might be interested to check out the surf breaks that Indonesia has to offer. Other than that, Indonesia has lots of dive sites to choose from and the national parks are with interesting flora and fauna to see, let alone the volcanoes in Indonesia. Surfing in Indonesia ensures you that being in Indonesia is never lack of water sports and recreational activities. There are even world class surfing sites, particularly the Indian Ocean like the Java Sea, Sumatra, Nusa Tenggara, Aceh, Banten, Lombok, Bali, Sumbawa and Mentawai Islands. Other parts ike Bali and Pelabuhan Ratu in Java, attracted a lot of  locals. Also the Pangandaran beach, Nusa Lembongan, Lakey Beach in Cempi Bay are some hot favourites. G-Land are great surf breaks location. Many people also like East Java and Lagundri Bay of Nias island.

Scuba diving is the other activity that is very popular for the tourist going to Indonesia. It is an inexpensive water activity. At the northern part of Sulawesi, the Bunaken National Marine Park boasts of many genera of coral. It has many species of fish in its Indo-Western Pacific. There are dolphins, sharks, turtles, manta rays, cuttlefish, morays, octopus and even scorpionfish. Other interesting dive sites are Tulamben Bay. It is located in Bali. Popular ones are Candidasa and Menjangan. Gili Meno is one of the three Gilis in Lombok. It is a popular spot and the other two Gili Air and Gili Traangan. The remote ones are Alor Archipelago and Biak that is off the coast of Papua which is also part of Indonesia.

National parks

Bogor Botanical Gardens, Cibodas Botanical Gardens are amazing places to sight see. World heritage sites and also  national parks are Gunung Leuser National Park, Kerinci Seblat National Park, Bukit Barisan Selatan National Park, Tropical Rainforest Heritage of Sumatra, Lorentz National Park in Pupua, Komodo National Park in Lesser Sunda Islands, Ujung Kulon National Park in west of Java.

What are special to see are the native species like the Sumatran tigers, Sumatran elephants, Sumatran rhinoceros, Javan rhinoceros and most of all, orang utans. For flora in Sumatra in particular, you must see the world’s largest rafflesia arnoldi as well as the tallest titan arum. Birds of Paradise are not birds, when you see it you will know why.
